YEAR 4 HOME LEARNING

Friday 15th January 2021

So our first full week of remote learning is complete! We have been so impressed with the way you have adapted to this new way of learning. You have been engaging in the morning and afternoon register sessions, handing work in, uploading photos and videos so that we can see all your responses to the activities that we have set you. Also, the children in school have been working hard and taking part in the same learning too. Thank you for all your hard work this week and to your parents and siblings that have been helping you along the way.

Enjoy the weekend, relax and we'll see you Monday morning!

As discussed during your afternoon register session, we have now set up a reading record so that you can share with us the reading that you are doing at home. We will check these weekly, like we would normally in school. During this time, where we are unable to travel, we can use the power of reading to take us to some extraordinary places!

Good morning Year 4, another successful day, yesterday, of remote learning on Teams- well done! Please remember that when you complete the work to hand it in so that we (the teachers) can take a look at all the amazing work you are doing. Some of you have been completing the work on the documents provided and others taking photos of handwritten work and uploading this. Both ways work well, so it is whatever way works best for you. Remember to post your work on the subject channel too - so maths work on the maths channel. Have a good day!

Good morning Year 4!

This week is the first full week of remote learning, we were all so impressed with the work you did last week so we know you'll all work hard and try your best this week. We have now created a suggested timetable for your day, very similar to a normal day in school. A downloadable version of this can be found at the bottom of this page. This is also available on Teams. We know that the structure of a routine really helps us in school so will be just as useful when accessing our learning remotely.

We will see you during the 'live' registration sessions at 9.35am and 1.40pm and be available to answer any questions about your work on the relevant channel between 9am-3pm.

Have a great day!

Thursday 7th January 2021

Good morning Year 4!

We are looking forward to seeing you at 9.35am this morning for your live class 'check in'. Remember all of your learning will be available through Microsoft Teams, we used this in school during the Autumn term therefore you all understand how to navigate around this. However, if there are any problems you can contact your class teacher via email or by phoning the school office.

Have a great day!

Wednesday 6th January 2021

Good evening Year 4!

It was so lovely to see lots of you interacting with us via Teams today - checking in with you class teacher and completing the work set. Yes, there were a few glitches however, with your help were we able to address some of these.

Have a lovely evening and we will see you tomorrow for your class 'check in' session at 9.35am.

Good Morning Year 4!

We are now ready to learn remotely, using Microsoft Teams. This morning 3 activities will be put onto Microsoft Teams with an input video from one of the Year 4 teachers. Remember we will be available to chat about the work we have set between 9am - 3pm.

There are also other activities you can do throughout the day such as reading for pleasure and learning your times tables.

Have a good day.

Tuesday 5th January 2021

Good evening Year 4!

Well this certainly is not the start to Spring Term that we were expecting. We were looking forward to seeing you back in school after the Christmas holidays. However, we have been very busy over the last 2 days preparing to teach you all via Mircosoft Teams. We will upload 3 lessons daily for you to complete using the documents on Teams or on paper at home if you wish. We will be available to chat (about the lessons) during the day between 9am - 3pm.

We have used Teams in school and you have handed in homework via this so you should be able to navigate your way around this successfully. But if you do have any problems then please get in touch via the school office.

Take care and stay safe
