Message from the teachers

Hello Year 4, we will put messages on here regularly to keep in touch.

Monday 1st June 2020

Wow the 1st of June - how has that happened?

We hope you all managed to relax during the half-term and enjoy the beautiful weather we have been having whilst keeping safe.

We will continue to post weekly home learning on the website and extra activities on Seesaw.

With some year groups now beginning to return to school, most of the teachers will be back in school teaching however we do not know at the moment when Year 4 children will be returning so please keep in touch via your class Seesaw app.

Take care and stay safe

Good morning Year 4, as another week of home learning begins we want to say how impressed with the wide variety of activities we are seeing you take part in. There are so many resources available, beyond the school website, that you are accessing and sharing with us on Seesaw. You certainly are finding fun ways to learn!

The BBC Daily Bite size is an excellent resource, so if you do not fancy doing what has been set on the home learning page then pop over and see what they have planned or vice versa.

Good Morning Year 4!

We hope you are all keeping well and enjoyed the extra long weekend.

The Year 4 team are in school this week, teaching the children that are currently attending school therefore we maybe a little bit quieter on Seesaw during the day. However, we will still check it as often as possible as we love seeing all the home learning you are doing.

Remember to keep posting on Seesaw, as it is a great way of keeping us all connected.

Hello Year 4,

We are really missing being in school and seeing you all. However, it has been great to see so many of you interacting on Seesaw, there is some amazing home learning going on!

The BBC Bitesize Daily website is a great resource which we recommend alongside the Year 4 Home Learning.

Good morning Year 4,

We hope you are keeping well - we are really missing you all!

We are all going to be using Seesaw to keep in touch with our classes and see what fantastic home learning you are doing. So, keep an eye out for the email about signing up to this (4CM & 4SM).

We are back at our laptops working and organising home learning for you. If your parents need to speak to us they can always send an email to us or phone the school.

Thursday 2nd April 2020

Good morning!

A few messages:

  • Mid-Year School reports are going to be emailed out to your parents/carers tomorrow, so ask them to keep an eye on their emails. If they do not receive it then please contact the school or your class teacher via email.
  • Also tomorrow, we will put up some suggested learning / activities for the next 2 weeks. Obviously, this would have been the Easter holidays, so the activities are fun to keep you all entertained!

Take care and stay safe

Tuesday 31st March 2020

Good afternoon Year 4!

We just wanted to say we are really missing seeing you all but understand at this time we are all keeping safe at home. It was lovely to catch up with your parents (and some of you) over the phone last week. You are all doing so well with your home learning!

Here are some fun activities for you to try whilst at home:

  • The Alphabet Challenge (search around your home looking for things that begin with all the different letters of the alphabet).
  • Collage  (using old magazines, comics, newspapers to create a picture).
  • Build a well-known landmarks out of boxes and other things that are normally recycled.
  • Make up a dance routine to your favourite song.

Take care & stay safe

Hello Year 4!

We hope you are all keeping well and working hard at home. We have seen some fantastic photos on the school Facebook page of children from across the school completing home learning.

There are plenty of activities to access via the school website and lots of fabulous resources online to keep your busy! Also, remember building LEGO, completing puzzles, playing games are also great ways of learning.

Take care

Mrs Armstrong, Mrs Weekes, Mrs McGuire and Miss McLaughlin
