The Salvation Army Easter Project
Easter Holidays Food Hampers-
School holidays can be stressful for some families due to increased costs and reduced incomes and that’s likely to be even worse at the moment following the year we’ve all just been through, and the challenges that remain.
The Salvation Army in Portsmouth, have secured funding under the HAF Fun Pompey scheme to deliver an exciting programme of healthy food and exciting Easter activities for children, aged 4-10 years, who would normally receive free school meals. They will be preparing an Easter pack that can be delivered to families in their home, or can be collected from their centre in Lake Road, Portsmouth. Each pack will contain all the ingredients needed for a family of 4 to cook 3 healthy and nutritious lunches and 3 delicious dinners with help from our healthy Veggie characters, PLUS, there will be activities encouraging families to get ‘out and about’ with our Spring Treasure Hunt, our Easter crafts and a few extra surprises!
Their delivery teams will be out delivering on Wednesday 7th, Thursday 8th, Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th April, OR families can collect their packs on these same days from Portsmouth Salvation Army, Lake Road, PO1 4HA.
